and on London Bridge
for Rebuilding the Goal of Newgate
in the said City for Repairing the
Royal Exchange
wither the same For Embanking part of the North side
of the said River within certain Limits and for other purposes therein
mentioned] It is the Opinion of this Committee That it will be for
the Interest and Benefit of this Hospital to Embank at their own
Expence so much of the Ground and Soil of the said River as lies
opposite and contiguous to the Messuages Lands Tenements
Hereditaments Grounds and Wharfs of this Hospital It is
Ordered hat the said Report be confirmed and that the Committee
of this Hospital do Contract and agree with such Person or Persons
as they shall think proper for compleating the same And it is
further Ordered that the Clerk do forthwith give Notice pursuant
to the Act of Parliament

To the Right Worshipful the President the treasurer

of Bridewell Hospital
Upon Reading an Order of the New River Company Dated 5th Novr. 1767
In the Words following Vizt. Ordered that the Clerk call upon Mr.
Woodhouse and desire to know upon what Terms the Bridewell
Hospital
are willing to renew the present Lease of Bridewell
House
and Land with this Company It is the Opinion of this Committee
(conformable to the Resolution of the late treasurer
and former-
Committees long since taken and adhered to) that it will not be for
the Interest of this Hospital in the present Situation of their
Estates to prolong the Term granted by the Lease from this Hospital
to the New River Company or to grant any New Leases or Enlarge
the Terms now subsisting in any Old Leases of any Messuages
or Tenements within the Precincts of this Hospital
This Court doth agree with the said Committee in their said
Report and doth hereby confirm the same.
