Continued Wednesday 27th. July 1768.

the present Lease of Bridewell House & Land with this Company.

NB


The New River Company likewise hold of the Hospital a
Warehouse on the North side of Cross Street in the Precinct of
Bridewell of which the said Company were to have had a Lease
for 52 Years and ¾ commencing at Christmas 1753 at £6 P Ann
but by an Order of Committee of 1st. May 1765 the sd. Agreement
for a Lease was with their Consent vacated and they agreed to
hold the same as Tenants at Will at the same Rent

6th. Novr. 1753.


Lease from Bridewell Hospital to Thomazine Duffield< no role > of all that
Piece of Ground or Yard and the Messuage thereon lying on the West-
side the Highway leading between the Chaple Yard and Bridewell
Hospital and Bridewell Dock towards the River Thames for 21 Years
from Christmas1752 at £10.. P Ann

It was Ordered that a Lease should be granted to Thomas
Peacock
< no role > of all that Messuage in the Occupation of Mr. Holditch
and of the House adjoining formerly the Crooked Billet in
Bridewell Precinct for 21 Years from Michas then next at £10
P Ann and £50 Fine to be paid at Lady Day then next & to lay
out £250 in Repairs from Michas 1755

That the said Thomas Peacock< no role > died in July 1762 having first
made his Will and thereof appointed Christopher Masterman< no role > -
William Masterman< no role > & a Zach. Cockfield< no role > Exors but the sd. Christopr.
Masterman
< no role > alone proved the said Will & took upon him the
Burthen of the Execution thereof and the said Fine of £50 with
Interest for the same from Lady Day 1750 still remains unpaid

By anOrder of Committee of the 12th. Decr. 1764 It was
Declared that the Wharf claimed by Mr. Masterman as intended
to be included in his Lease was not intended to be granted nor
ought to be demised thereby.

Lease from the governors of Bridewell Hospital to Benjamin
Bailey
< no role > pursuant to an Agreement Dated the 17 January 1752
of Two Messuages two Stables and a Coal Hole & Workshop
adjoining situate on the West side of Fleet Ditch for the
Term of 61 Years from Christmas 1751 at £6 P Annum
