Continued Wednesday 23d. May 1764

Hospitals Surveyor in Substantial Repairs with liberty for the said
Francis Hooker< no role > to pull down one of the Barns & use the Materials in Repair
of the other and take a Lease with all Covenants usuall and Necessary
& to pay all the Costs of the Distress and Execute a Counter part of such
Lease And Whereas no Lease hath yet been Executed of the said Premes
but the said Francis Hook or hath laid out & expended £550 & upwards in
Necessary Repairs and Improvements of the said Messe & or Tenement
and Lands as by his Affidt. Sworn this day & now laid before the Committee
Appears which so far exceeding the Sum proposed & agreed to be Laid out
as aforesaid The said Francis Hooker< no role > hath applyed to this Committee
and humbly Prays to have his said Term Enlarged and proposes to layout
the further Sum of £200 in Rebuilding of the said Messs or Tenement and
a New Grainery and other Elections on the said Premes within 10 Years
from the date hero of under the Directions of the Hospitals Surveyor
upon having a Lease of the said Premes for an Addition all Term of 40
Years to Commence from & alter the Expiration of the said Term of 21 Years
agreed to be Granted as aforesaid This Committee upon Reading the said Affidavit &
hearing what the said Francis Hooker< no role > hath further Alledged and taking into
Consideration the great Expenses he hath been at already in such Repairs and
Improvements as aforesaid And the benefit the Hospitals hath received and
will hereafter Receive thereby as well as by Securing and Receiving £186
Dnofer Rent from the said Arthur Newitt< no role > who was a very and Tenent and such
Rent in great Danger of being last Are of Opinion that it is reasonable &
Just that such Additional Term of 40 Years should be Granted to the said Francis
Hooker
< no role > if the Count shall the he proper to Commence from and after the Expiration
of the said Former Term (All which is Submitted to the Judgement of the Court)

It is Ordered that the said Report be Confirmed and that an Additional Term
of 40 Years be Granted to the said Francis Hooker< no role > to Commence from and after
the Expiration of the said former Term of 21 years already granted him

Upon Reading the Humble Petition of Mr.Francis Magnus< no role > Junr. & in
the Words following The Humble Petition of Francis Magnus< no role > the Younger of
Crown Court Old Broad Street in the City of London Merchant Shaseth That a
Court held at the Hospital at Bridewell on Friday the 23 day of February 1749/50
Your Worship were leased to Order that a Lease should be made and Granted to
Daniel Le Seure< no role > of London Merchant of a certain House in Lyme Street Square No.
3 then late in the Occupation of Captain It allott and now of the said Daniel Le
Sour
< no role > / being Part of the Possessions of the Hospital of Bethlem ) for 21 Years from
Lady day then next at the yearly rent of £21 Clear of all Taxes and Deduction
whatsoever upon the said Daniel Le Sears Agreeing to pay out £120 in repairing
the said Premes or in Case he laid out less upon adding £10 & Cent for what he
should Omit to lay out to be added to his Rent upon the said Daniel Le Sears
agreeing to Execute a Couterpart of such Lease which was to Contain all Usual
