Upon Reading the humble Petition of John Pearson< no role > of the
Parish of St. John Wapping in the County of Middx Butcher Setting forth
That the Govrs. by Indre of Lease (No. 35) dated the 15th. of May 1747 Denased
to John brooke< no role > Distiller One Messe or Tenement with the yard or Wharfe
with the Appurtes being the Sign of the Golden Cock near King Edward
Stairs Wapping To held from Xmas 1746 for 9 years at £28 P Ann
Rent clear of Taxes wth sd. Lease will Expire at Xmas nextThat the
Petr has lived in the sd. Messe about One year & half & has laid at above
£20 in repairing the same And is willing to take a Lease (with Usual Covenants
between the Govrs. & their Tenants) of the sd. Messe for 21 years from the Expiration
of the said Term in being at £22 P Ann rent clear of Taxes payable quarterly
at the Compting house at Bridewell Hospital and to lay out £50 in Necessary
Repairs & to Execute a Counterpart of such LeaseAnd Praying the
Governors to grant him a Lease AccordinglyIt is Orderd that the sd.
Petition be referr'd to the Comittee of this House to Consider thereof And
Report their Opinion thereon to the Court.

the Petition of John Ittery< no role > refer'd by the Court 14th. June 1754 Setting forth
That he is near 70 years Old & had been one of the Artsmasters 25
years and by Distempers is render'd Incapable of doing any business for
his SubsistanceAnd praying the Governors to Grant him such Relief
as they shall think fitIt is the Opinion of this Comee to Allow the
said John Ittery four shillings a Week till further OrderAll which is
Nevertheless Submitted to the Judgment of CourtThis Court having
duly weighed and Consider'd the sd. Report Doth Confirm the same And
Order that the Steward do pay the said John Ittery 4s a Week till
further Order. dd Copy to Mr. Cutton Maid Th.27 Novr. 1755 -66.
