in the said County Esqr.
being Seized of the Rectory
or Parsonage Impropriate and Tythes of the said Parish of Wainfleet by his
Will Devised the same And all other his Lands Tenements Advowsons
Donations and Hereditaments in the County of Lincoln To the Governors
of Bethlem Hospital and their Successors for the benefit of Incurable
Lunaticks Charged with the Payment of £50 a year to the Curate
of Wainfleet and his Successors Provided they shoud Read Prayers
and Preach once every Sunday in the year for ever in the sd. Parish
ChurchThat the sd Mr Barkham was Godfather and Guardian
to your Petitioner and by his Will gave him £20 a year till his Age
of 23 & than £500And in his life time declared he intended to bring
your Petitioner up a Clergman and give him the sd. Curacy when it
shoud become VacantThat Mr Branston the last Curate is lately
dead and the Patronage and Donation of the said Curacy of right belongs
To the Governors of Bethlem HospitalThe Petr. therefore Prayed to be
Appointed to the said CuracyAnd the Question being put the Court
Unanimously Appointed the said Edward Bayly to be Curate
of the
said Parish Church of Wainfleet St Mary
And it is Ordered
That a proper Instrument be prepared and Sealed Appointing Edward
Bayly Clerk to be Curate of the Parish Church of Wainfleet St Marys
in the County and Diocess of Lincoln.
