Upon Reading the humble Petition of Thomas Jornagan< no role > of
Oldstreet London Carpenter Setting forthThat at Court 25th. Febry
1752 The Govr. Ordered a Lease to be made to Petr. of 11 Old Houses &
Ground in Old Bethlem and Bishopsgate Street (which had been to)
by Edward Howard< no role > under 3 Leases Expired ( No 17. 18. 19.) To held
from Laday 1752 for 61 years whereof the first 2 years at a Pepper Corn
rent and the Remr. of the Term £40 P Ann rent clear of Taxes
and to to pay £200 for the Old Materials and to build Houses and lay
out £2000whereupon the Petr. Imediately set about building
but after he had made great Progress therein he was Stopt above 4 Months
in the Summer upon a Dispute about a Party Wall on part of the North
side of the said Ground which at last was decided in favor of the
Hospital but he has thereby Suffered above £80DamageThat
the Petr has already built 4 houses & intends to build 3 more on
the said GroundAnd praying that his Lease may be made for 62
years from Michals last N. S. at a Pepper Corn for the first year and half
to Laday 1754 And then the Rent of £40 a year to comence Agreeable to the
said OrderIt is Ordered that the said Petition be referred to the Comittee
of this House to Consider thereof and Report their Opinion thereon to the
next Court.

New River Compr proposal
of a Lease End Recent pt

Upon Reading the Proposal of the Govrs. and Company of the
New River for a House or Ware house over against the Companys
Gates in Bridewell Precinct (now or late in the Occupation of John
Holditch
< no role > ) being 37 feet by 25 and are willing to take a Lease from
Xmas next for 42 years to £16 P Ann rent with usual Covenants
between the Governors of Bridewell Hospital and their Tenants
It is Ordered that the said Proposal be referred to the
Comittee of this House to Consider thereof and Report their Opinion
thereon to the next Court.
