Upon Reading the humble Petition of William Burgis< no role > of the
Parish of Saint Andrew Under Shaft London Glazier Setting forthThat
He proposes to take a Lease (with usual Covenants between the Govrs.
their Tenants) of 2 Houses & Vaults in Lyme Street (No. 7, 8 ) part of the
Possassions of Bethlem Hospital) late in Occupation of Mr. Henry Norris< no role >
and Mr. Hop from Xmas next for 21 years at £30 P Ann Rent clear
of Taxes and to pay a Fine of £100 and lay out £300 in Necessary
Repairs and to Execute a Counterpart of such LeaseAnd praying
a Lease AccordinglyIt is Ordered That the sd. Petition be
referred to The Comittee of this House to Consider thereof & Report
their Opinion thereon to the next Court.

Upon Reading the humble Petition of Samuel Mellor< no role > of the Parish
of Saint Botolph Bishopsgate London Carpenter Setting forthThat
by Lease dated 7th. Febry 1738 (No. 15) The Governors devised to John Benson< no role >
Esqr . & Benjamin Wellington< no role > 19 Messes with the Back sides and Yards
in Old Bethlem from Laday 1738 for 21 years which will expire 1759
at £60 P Ann rent clear of TaxesAnd by Lycence Granted at
a Court 26th. March 1752 the said Lease is assigned to the Petitioner
for the Remainder of the said TermThat the Petitioner upon a Street
examination since the Assignment made to him finds great decays in the
foundation & Walls & other parts of the sd. Mosses, which he did not before
Discover, and which must be imediately made good to keep up the buildings &
will be a greater Expence than the produce of the Rack rents will [..] above
the Hospitals rent, The Land Tax & other Necessary Charges, during the 7 years
to come in the said LeaseAnd praying the Governors to grant him an
Additional Term of 14 years at the same yearly rent of £60 P Ann
clear of TaxesIt is Ordered That the P. Petition be Referred to
the Comittee of this House to Consider thereof and Report their Opinion
thereon to the next Court.

Upon Reading the humble Petition of Jane Shephard< no role > Widow Setting forth
That her late Husband Edwd. Shephard< no role > deced agreed to take [..] from
the Govrs. with usual Covenants of a House in Saint Martin Lane Charing
Cross ( No. 7 ) part of the Possions of Bethlem Hospital from Laday 1745
for 21 years at £22 P Ann rent clear of Taxes and to lay out £42 in necessary
repairs According to an Estimate then given and which has been since done
But that he dyed before the said Lease was made Having by his Will
made the Petr. residuary Legate & Sole Extris thereof who has since proved
the same in the Court of the Archdeaconry of MiddxAnd praying
that the said Lease may be made to Her as Extrix of her said Husband for
the Remr of the sd. Term yet to come and unexpiredIt is Ordered
that a Lease be made to her Accordingly
