Upon Reading a Report from the Comittee of this House dated
the 1st. March 1750/1. under the hands of Robert Alsop< no role > Esqr Alderman
Trear Dr. Richard Rawlinson< no role > Richard Newman< no role > Esqr & Mr. Deputy Rycroft
as follows ViztThis Comittee Attended by Mr. Cordwell and Mr.
Cleaver Viewed the House and Brewhouse at Wapping (No. 1 ) lately built
by Mr. Thos. Curteis< no role > and the Ground Opposite to it whereon he Agreed to
build two Brick Messuages instead of three which Stood there but having
Compleated his House and Brewhouse wherein the Comittee are of Opinion
he has already laid out more than £1500 (the whole Sum he was Obilged
to lay out) He finds it will be much more Convenient to build a Stable
Store houses and Cellars instead of two Houses and will be more beneficial to
the Hospitals Estate as well as Covenient to himAnd the Comittee
are of Opinion That Mr. Curteis be permitted to build a Stable
Storehouses and Cellars instead of the two houses on the said Ground According to
a Plan made by Mr. Cordwell and Mr. Cleaver and Ordered it to be Reported
to the CourtThis Court having duely weighted & Considered the said
Report doth Confer in the same And Order That the Lease to Mr. Curteis
be made Accordingly.

Upon Reading the humble Petition of Samuel Linsell< no role > of the Parish
of Saint Andrews Undershaft London Joiner Setting forthThat he
proposes to take a Lease with usual Covenants between the Governors to
their Tenants of Two Houses in Lymestreet ( No. 7, 8 ) with the Vaults under
them (being part of the Possessions of Bethlem Hospital) for 21 years from
Laday next at £36 P Ann rent clear of Taxes and to lay out £300
in Necessary Repairs and to Execute a Counterpart of such Lease
And praying a Lease According byIt is Ordered that the said
Petition be referred to the Comittee of this House to Consider thereof
and Report their Opinion thereon to the next Court.

Upon Reading the humble Petition of Peter John Forssteen< no role > of the
Parish of Saint Dunstans in the East London Gentleman setting forth
That he proposes to take a Lease with usual Covenants between the
Governors and their Tenants of a House in Lymestreet (No. 8 ) in the
South side of the Passage to Lymestreet Square (being part of the
Possessions of Bethlem Hospital) for 21 years from Xmas next at
£25 P Ann Rent clear of Taxes and to lay out £80 in puting the
House into Tenantable Repair and to leave the same so at the Expiration
of the said Term and to Execute a Counter part of such Lease Of the
Governors please to lay leaden Pipes to carry the Water into the said
House and put up a Leaden Cisterm and repair the Pavement before the
frontAnd praying a Lease AccordinglyIt is Ordered that the
said Petition be referred to the Comittee of this House to Consider thereof
and Report their Opinion thereon to the Court.
