Upon reading the humble petition of the Beadles of this Hospital
for their usual Gratuitys of Forty Shillings a peice in respect of the half year
ending at Midsummer last for that their Salarys are but SmallIt is
Ordered that the Clerk of this Hospital do give and pay unto them Forty
Shillings a peice to be allowed him in his next Account.

Upon reading the humble petition of the three Beadles or Basketmen of
the Hospital of Bethlem for their usual Gratuitys of Twenty Shillings a peice
in respect of the half year ending at Midsummer last for that their Salarys
are but SmallIt is Ordered that the Clerk of this Hospital do give
and pay unto them Twenty Shillings a peice to be allowed him in his next
Account.

them by order of Court) Setting forthThat William Saunders< no role > hold
of the Governours a peice of Ground in Common Lane Wapping with a
Ware house and old Sheddsthereon (lying between a peice of Ground lately
held by Sr : Gregory Page< no role > and another peice of Ground late held by Grace
Saunders
< no role > for 21 years to comence from Xmas 1717 at the yearly rent of
£8 & on payment of a Fine of £20 and laying out £60 in repairs
which Lease expired at Xmas 1738That the petitioners propose to
take a Lease of the said Piece of Ground in Common Lane for 48 years
to comence from Laday lastat the Rent of £8 payable quarterly
clear of all Taxes and with Such Covenants as are usually contained
in the Leases from the said Governours to their Tenants at wapping
and to build a Brick Ware house 60 feet deep from the front next to the
Lane 36 feet wide and 20 feet high the said Walls to be Bricks
thick 11 feet from the Surface of the Ground in Cinamon Lane to
lay a yellow Curb 6 Inches by 9 upon it and then Set back 4 Inches
on the Inside and from thence 9 feet higher the Walls to be a Brick
and a half thick and the Wharf to the sewer to be new Brickt a
