Wednesday 18th: July 1744
long the Sewer and to pay a Fine of £80) to execute a Counter part
of the said Lease and the said Daniel Weston< no role > being called in to know to
know what he would Add to the above proposalls he propased £10 P Ann
rent clear of Taxes and to pay a Fine of 100 Guineas Whereupon this Comee
having considered of the said proposalls are of Opinion to accept the Same
upon which the said Daniel Weston gave a Guinea to the poors Cox
all which is nevertheless Submitted to the Judgment of the Court
and it is ordered this Opinion be reported to the next CourtThis
Court having duly weighted and considered the said Report doth confirm
the same and order that a Lease be made to the said Daniel & Lewis
Weston Accordingly.

Upon reading a Report the Comee of this House bearing date
the Sixth instant under the hands of Edward Holloway< no role > Esqr . Treasurer
Mr. Depty. Child Mr. Edward Dod< no role > Mr. Peter Roberts< no role > Mr Gilbert Malcher< no role >
& Mr. William Cooper< no role > as followsAt this Comee the Petition of Ann
Burren was read (which was referred to them by order of Court the 8th of
July last. Setting forthThat by Indre of Lease dat 1st: August 1673 the
Governours demised to John Welburne< no role > and Elizabeth < no role > his wifea peice
or parcell of Ground and Soil with five Messuages or Tenement's thereon
Erected by the said John Welburne< no role > abutting Easton a house then in
the Occupation of William Blackberry< no role > West and South on old Gravel
Lane and North on certain Houses then or late in the Occupation of
Webb Scituate in Wapping in the County of Middlesex To hold
from Laday 1673 for 72 years at the yearly Rent of £2 payable
quarterly which Lease will expire at Laday 1745That the said
premes by Several [..] Assignments are become vested in the
petitioner for the residue of the Term yet to come in the said
LeaseThat the said five Messuages are very much decayed
and some of them are Empty and as the Petitioner is informed
it will cost a Considerable Sum of money to put the same into
Tenantable repair That the Petitioner Proposes to take a new Lease
of the said premes for the Term of 21 years to commence from the
Expiration of the former Lease and to pay the old rent of £2 P Ann
clear of Taxes and to lay out £200 in repairing the premes and to
execute a Counter part of such Lease with usual Covenants from
the Hospital to their Tenants and prayed the Governours to Grant
her a new Lease according to her said proposallsand the said Ann
Burren
< no role > being called in to know what she would Add to the above
proposalls she proposed £5 P ann rent clear of Taxes and to pay a
Time of £50 and to lay out £200 in repairs in three years Whereupon
this Comee having considered of the said Proposalls are of Opinion
to accept the same upon which the said Ann Burren gave half a
Guinea to the poors box all which is nevertheless Submitted to
the Judgment of the Courtand it is ordered this Opinion
be reported to the next CourtThis Court having duly weighted
and considered the said Report doth confirm the same and Order
that a Lease be made to the said Ann Burren Accordingly.
