Upon reading the humble Petition of John Smither< no role > of Portland Street in the parish
of St. Mary le Bone in the County of Middx Bricklayer settingforthThat the
Governors by Indre of Lease bearing date the 9th. day of Sept. 1738. Demised to the
Petitioner a peice of Ground whereon six brick Messuages aer lately built scituate and
being in the precinct of the Hospital of Bridewell London a butting East upon King
Edward Street west upon Water street North on other Ground demised to John Hewlett< no role >
and South on Cross street To hold for 61 years from Xmas 1737 at a Pepper Corn
Rent for the First year and the Rent of £13..10P Ann for the residue of the Term
Payable Quarterly Clear of TaxesThat the Petr. is desirous of Assigning over
the said Messuages and promises and all his right and Interest therein to John Lock< no role >
of the Inner Temple Esqr . for the residue of the Term therein to comeAnd praying
that he may have leave to Assign and convey the said promisses and his Term and
Interest the rein to the said Mr. Lock accordinglyIt is Ordered that the said
John Smither< no role > have the Licence of this Court to Assign and convey the said premisses
to the said Mr. Lock accordingly.

Upon reading the humble Petition of John Benson< no role > Esqr . settingfortjhThat the
Petitioner on or about the 8th. day of March last agreed with the Comittee of this
Hospital for a Lease of Nineteen houses in Bethlem Court in old Bethlem (No 15) for
21 Years from Laday 1738. at £60. P Ann Rent payable Quarterly clear of Taxes to
pay a Fine of £155..10.and to repair the premisses on was refound do [..] lastThat the Petr. hath since
paid the said Fine to the Govenors, one Moiety whereof was the proper money of
Benjamin Wellington< no role > of Hertford Surgeon who is jointly concerned with the Petitioner
in the said premisses but the said Mr. Wellington's name was not mentioned by the
Petitioner at the time of the said Agreement nor inserted thereinAnd praying
that the said Lease may be granted to his and the said Benjamin Wellington< no role > Jointlly
It is Ordered that the said Lease be made to the said Mr. Benson and the
said Mr. Wellington Jointly.

Upon Reading the humble Petition of Ann Palmer< no role > widow Relict & Executive
of William Palmer< no role > late of the parsih of Saint Andrew Holborn Stone cutter
deceased SettingforthThat the Petitioner late Husband agreed to take a
Lease of two Messnages in the parish of St Andrew Holborn in the County of
Middx then in the occupation of thesd Wm. Palmer and part of the possions of
the said Hospital of Bridewell to hold for the Term of 61 Years from Xmas 1729
at the Yearly Rent of £30 payable Quarterly clerk of Taxes & in consideration
of £140 to be paid for affireThat her said Husband in since dead before ye
said Lease was so made to him, and the Petr. being his Widow and Exrix and
intitled to the premes for the residue of the Term, hath accordingly paid the
said Fine of £140 to the Tear of this HospitalAnd praying that the said
Lease be made to her for the residue of the said Term of 61 Years yet to come
It is Ordered that the said Lease be made to the said Mrs. Palmer for
the residue of the Term
