Baks Grat ½ yr. to Xmas 1728


Upon reading the humble Petition of the 4 Beadles & Porters Man of this
Hospital for their usual Gratuitys of forty Shillings a piece in repect of the half
year ending at Christmas last for that their Salarys are but small It is Order'd
that the Clerk of these Hospitals do give & pay unto them forty Shillings a peice to be
allow'd him in his next Account.

Basketmens Grat ½ yr. to Xmas 1728


Upon reading the humble Petition of the three Beadles or Baskettmen of the
Hospital of Bethlem for their usual Gratuitys of twenty Shillings a peice in
respect of the half year Ending at Christmas last for that their Salarys are but
small It is Order'd that the Clerk of These Hospitals do give & pay unto them
twenty Shillings a peice to be Allow'd him in his next Account

At this Court the following poor boys were Order'd to be putt
out Apprentices at the Nomination of the Governours hereafter Nam'd Vizt.

Upon reading the humble Petition of Timothy Tennant< no role > Settingforth
that he is now & for 30 years past hath been Undertenant at £30. P Ann: deducting
the Land tax of a house near King Edwards Stairs called the Golden Cock in
Wapping which was heretofore Lett by the Governours of Bridewell Hospital to
John Shaw< no role > for a long term of years which Expires at Laday 1730And that
John Hazlewood< no role > who hath the Interest in the remainder of the said term being
88 years old is willing that a new Lease should be Granted to your Petitioner
Who is Willing to take the same from Lady day 1730 for 21 years at £30
P Ann Rent deducting the Land taxAnd the said John Hazlewood< no role >
having Sign'd his Consent thereto at the bottom of the said PetitionIt is
Order'd that it be Referr'd to the Comittee of this House to Consider of the said
Petition and to Report their Opinion thereon to this Court.

this Court & Return'd thanks to the Governours for the Many favours he had
Received from them & being in Years & willing to retire Defer'd leave to Surrender
his said placeWhereupon It is Order'd the the Said Jeffery
Gillinghams Resignation be accepted.

Upon reading the serveral humble petitions of John Ittery< no role > Citizen &
Weaver of London and John Burgess< no role > Citizen & Weaver of London to be Admitted
an Artsmaster for this Hospital in the room of Daniel Nipp< no role > Weaver deced & they
being severally putt in Nomination the plurality of hands Appear'd to be for the
said John Ittery Whereupon It is Order'd That the said John Ittery< no role > (Upon
Delivering a certificate of his SEttlement to the Clerk & producing a Copy of his
Freedom of this City & giving Security as usual in the like Cases) be Admitted an
Artsmaster of this Hospital until the next Election day And It is further
Order'd That he house such Apartment as the Comittee of this house shall direct.
