in the words followingIn pursuance of an order of Court
of ye 7th. Octor. 1714. This Comee have taken into consideration ye
Several petitions of ye persons hereunder named Setting forth that
they Served their apprenticeshipps in this hospital and have been made
five of this City by order of this Court and are Sett up for themselves
in their Trades and praying Some part of Mr Locks Gift the
better to enable them to carry on ye same vizt

And this Comee upon Inquiry being Satisfied that they have ye
Characters of Sober Industrious men are of Opinion to give each of
them Ten pounds out of Mr Locks Gift which nevertheless is
Submitted to ye Judgment of ye CourtThis Court doth
Confirme ye same and Order that ye Clerke do pay to each of ye
Petr Ten pounds out of Mr. Locks Gift to be allowed him in his
next account

in the words followingThis Comee in pursuance of an Order
of ye Last Court have made enquiry and do not find that prayers are
or at any time have been read in ye Chappel of this hospital
or any other days than Sundays and act of Parliament holydays
But this Comee are of Opinion that for ye future the Reader of ye
Chappel of this hospital Should reced prayers there on every Sainte day
& every wednesday & fryday at Ten o'Clock in ye forenoon which
nevertheless is submitted to ye Judgment of ye CourtAndIt is Ordered
that it be [..] referred to ye same Comee who are desired to examine wt.
Salary ye Reader has and to Report to ye Courtwhatthen Opinion whether
any thing & what is proper to be added to his prsent Salary for reading
prayers as above menconed
