23rd. Novr. 1716

It is Ordered That ye Said Phillip Gill< no role > be admitted an artsmar .
of this hospital giveing Security as [..] like Cases is usual
and entring into the usual Covenants with a new Covenant
to be added that he will not Sett up or use any Engine
Loom in this hospital and that the Journeymen which he
Shall employ in his said Trade Shall be Such persons as
have Served their Apprenticeship's in this hospital And
he is to have Such an Appartment as the Comee of this
house Shall direct

Upon reading the humble Petition of Phillip Clarke< no role >
Setting forth That he had been Clerk above Eight years
a halfe to Mr Joseph Taylor< no role > during which time to hoped he
So behaved himselfe, this he might be intitled to the Governours favor and Releife
in his Prsent distressThat he had the misfortune to Lye under
Execution for Twenty Six pounds Ten Shillings and had as
money to discharge ye Same and the plaintiffe was not
to be prevailed upon to give any time for payment thereof
and that he had no hopes of being released without the
assistance of ye Governours And praying them (in compassion
to his present unhappy circumstances) to bestow on him Some
benefaction It is Ordered That ye said Petition do lye
upon the Table

Mr Treasurer Tayler acquainted this Court That his
Brother Mr Richard Tayler< no role > Late of Kensington in the County
of Middx deced by his Will bearing date the 18th day of May
1709 had bequeathed the Interest benefitt and Annual proceed
of Two thousand pounds Orphan's Stock to the Governours and
their Successors forever for the use of the poor Lunaticks in Bethlem
hospital But that haveing made no disposition of the principal
Stock Mr Martha Taylor< no role > [..] widdow and Relict of the said
P [..]
