Upon reading the humble Petition of
Elizabeth Mitton< no role >
on
the behalf of her selfe Brother and Sisters Setting forth
That her Mother
Elizabeth Mitton< no role >
late matron of this hospital
Served the said place with fidelity and care upwards of Seven
years and that by reason of the Several indispositions of her
said Mother the petitioner Supplyed the said place great
part of that time and had the Sole Managemt thereof to
quarter day lastThat the perguisites of the Matrons
place are very much desired by reason of which the
Petitioners Mother expended annually in the Support &
maintenance of her family (which was very great) more
than her Incombe so that her Children are left unprovided
for And praying Such gratuity as the Court should think
fitt It is Ordered That it be referred to the Comee of
this house to consider of the said Petition and to Report
to this Court what they think proper to be done therein

deced praying a New Lease of some ground & Several
Tenements in Wapping
which she holds under a Lease from
the Governours of Bridewell hospital
to her said late husband
dated the 26th Aprill 1667 for 51 years from Lady day 1664
which expires at Lady day next at the Rent of £20 p Annm
and praying that the new Lease may be made to her son
