that he was heretofore duly bound Apprentice by Indre
to William Turpin< no role > of Seething Lane in the Parish
of Allhallows Barking in the City of London Lighter [..]
& after having Served three years of his Apprenticeship
in the Sd Parish he was Pressed on board one of his Majesties
Ships of War & always Continued at Sea during the
remainder of the Term for which he was bound
Apprentice & did not afterwards return to his Said
Master That he never rented a house of Ten Pounds
A year or upwards nor ever Served any Parish office
nor ever Paid any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes nor
ever did any Act to gain a settlement Since his Sd
Apprenticeship & that he hath a w
