<div2 type="smdssetColumn">The Examination of Ann Butcher Leesing at Mr Woodalls a Turner No 10 Petty France Westmr touching the Settlement of Lucy Sydsoff eight Child aged about 3 Years & an half taken on Oath this 14th Day of August 1792. Who saith that she verily believes the above named Child to be the lawful Issue of Peter Sydsoff and Jean his Wife both deceased and that the said Peter Sydsoff lived in and rented a Public House known by the name or Sign of the ship at Charing Cross in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields in the Liberty of Westmr for the space of Three Years and paid the yearly Rent of £50 or thereabouts for the said House , which he quitted about Two Years ago and that he never acquired any illegal Settlement afterwards. Father & Mother married at St. Martins - Child born at the ship The above named Ann Butcher was Sister to the Childs Mother</div2>
