<p>I was sent for last Friday evening between eight and nine, to take charge of the boy in the house of the prosecutrix; when I came there I saw the glass had been taken out, and I took the boy in custody, he told me a long story.</p>
<p>Court. I will not suffer evidence to be given of what a child of that age says against himself? - The mother came to see the boy, and I took her into custody, there was nothing found on the mother.</p>
<p>Court to Mrs. Candler. Did you know this woman again? - Yes.</p>
<p>You never saw her in the shop did you? I never saw her face after she turned to run away.</p>
<p>Did you see her before? - Yes, I am sure of the woman.</p>
