to this Hospital And the President gave him<lb></lb>
Thanks accordingly And the said Dr. being then present in Court, in<lb></lb>
a very respectful manner said That the ill State of his Health disabling<lb></lb>
him from such Attendance as a due Discharge of his Office required He<lb></lb>
thought it his Duty to resign that some more capable Person might be<lb></lb>
chose. That he was extreamly sensible of the Favour & Candour<lb></lb>
always shown him by the Governors of the Hospital and as he had<lb></lb>
endeavour'd to do his Duty in the best manner he could in his former<lb></lb>
Station; so, notwithstanding an infirm Constitution had obliged him to<lb></lb>
give up an Employment which might suffer thro' his longer Attendance<lb></lb>
he should nevertheless in the Station in which they had now been pleas'd<lb></lb>
to place him be always ready to give his Assistance to the best of his<lb></lb>
power for the Service & Honour of this great Charity.</p>

sented to this Court & read severally praying to be admitted one of<lb></lb>
the Physicians of this Hospital in the room of the said Dr. Plumptre<lb></lb>
and being severally put up It appeared that Dr. Hoadley and Dr.<lb></lb>
Leatherland had the Majority & upon a Division the Numbers were<lb></lb>
for Dr. Leatherland 11 & for Dr. Hoadley 106. whereupon Dr. Letherland<lb></lb>
was declared to be duly chosen to the said place to hold the same with<lb></lb>
the usual Salary thereunto belonging during the pleasure of the General<lb></lb>
Court and he was calld in & acquainted with his Election</p>
