<p n="1701">That upon the Choosing of every President Since that time, Mr Trear<lb></lb>
for the time being was in the Chaire, and Held the Court; And that<lb></lb>
there is not the least mencon made of any Applicacon to the Lord<lb></lb>
Mayor for the Appointing of those Courts. And therefore the<lb></lb>
Appointing of a Court by the Grand Committee for Thursday next<lb></lb>
was done as they apprehended in pursuance of antient practice<lb></lb>
used in the said Hospitall, and not out of any Disrespect to the<lb></lb>
Chaire. Whereupon his Lordship said, the practice had<lb></lb>
been otherwise at the other Hospitalls, and more perticularly<lb></lb>
at Christs Hospitall; Which was founded and Incorporated<lb></lb>
together with this Hospitall and <rs type="placeName" id="LMTHMC55201_geo288">Bridewell</rs>
