<lb></lb>
Sir<lb></lb>
The above is the Resolution of the Grand Committee<lb></lb>
respecting thier of the Pieces of land as Parndon, which you have<lb></lb>
recommended them to purchase, & annex 1. the Hospital Estate<lb></lb>
there. The late worthy Treasurer was accustomed to such to your<lb></lb>
himself on the Hospital Affairs, & when the Present one gets<lb></lb>
settled in her House here, I trust he will take up the Correspon-<lb></lb>
dence; for being but a Novece with Hospital Concerns I am<lb></lb>
afraid of writing mistakenly, or at least not very intellgebly<lb></lb>
upon them, for which Reason, where I can do it, I think it will<lb></lb>
be always the best to give you the Minute of the Committee itself.</p>
<p n="397">I believe, in Account of Mr. Harrisons Absence, Mr. Stockelds<lb></lb>
Affair was barely mentioned in the Committee. Mr. Cromwell, who<lb></lb>
has not yet sent you the Leases for Execution, will write to you<lb></lb>
from Chirhard respecting him, & I have to observe that the Treasurer<lb></lb>
thinks you will do well to Press been hard for the Payment of<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
his<lb></lb>
Arrears.</p>
<p n="398">Let me take this Opportunity of Proposing to your Conside-<lb></lb>
-ration whether it will not be practicible always to under your<lb></lb>
Account of Rents Etc Yearly before Xmas. As the Tenants now are<lb></lb>
to pay their Lady day rents at or before Michmas, & as those rents<lb></lb>
are all that can come out. the Years Receipts, I am willing to<lb></lb>
presoner that you events make up & send your Acct: in November early<lb></lb>
in decrmr. This, as far as regards the Keepg of the Hospital Accounts<lb></lb>
strikes me as vastly preferable to the Account being rendered of any<lb></lb>
other Time or after Xmas is Passed, tho immediately following<lb></lb>
it: for as the Hospital Accounts are made up yearly as Xmas<lb></lb>
& audited some Months afterward, though you may have made<lb></lb>
your Presensed Remittances before Xmas, yet if your Account<lb></lb>
does not come up till after, the Tenants cannot respectively have<lb></lb>
credit for their Payments, & thus they appear to the Auditors as so<lb></lb>
much in Arrear, became the Money reced from them stand at<lb></lb>
the fred it of your personal Account, for want if knowing sen to <lb></lb>
discremenable & apply it. It some times happens too, that there are<lb></lb>
came it Vare a nomi<obscured></obscured>
in the rents e g. I. mention & F. Baileys have<lb></lb>
saved lately. Now as all the Tenants if the Hospital are charged</p>
