I well remember that when you was here in April last,<lb></lb>
that I shod, I would Lay the Bill before Mr Treasurer, which I could<lb></lb>

I did so, & also acquainted him of your wanting some Timber<lb></lb>
for Repairs, & should have wrote to you relative thereto, but Mr.<lb></lb>
Blake coming to Town soon after, I mentioned the maker to him,<lb></lb>
he told me, it was then too late to think of Falling any Timber<lb></lb>
for the Repairs. I then desired that he would furnish you<lb></lb>
with some matter of Timber, that you might not be quite<lb></lb>
destitute, for I am really inclined to think, that you are not<lb></lb>
in so terrible a plight, as you represent, at least, I hope it is<lb></lb>
not so. I know, that in general, people on too apt to complain,<lb></lb>
when there is little reason for their doing so. However this<lb></lb>
may be, you tell me that you are still in great want of Timber,<lb></lb>
not withstanding you have had several things from M. Blake,<lb></lb>
as well as from the wheeler. As it is impossible for me to<lb></lb>
know what you are really in want of, your last letter to me,<lb></lb>
speeching in General only, whereas it is necessary to be<lb></lb>
informed of particulars. I shall therefore be oblige'd you<lb></lb>
if you will speak to Mr. Blake about these affairs, & get him<lb></lb>
to send an Account of the several Repairs absolutely necessary<lb></lb>
and of the Timber that will be wanted for that purpose:<lb></lb>
where this is done, I will, upon your sending it to me, Lay<lb></lb>
it before the Treasurer, and acquaint you with his resolu<obscured></obscured>
