It is near a month since Austin the Carpenter brot. his<lb></lb>
Bill to the Counting House here, in order to have it Settled<lb></lb>
I could not then be done, as it had not undergone the Exami-<lb></lb>
nation of our Surveyor but He was told, that as soon as it<lb></lb>

been Examined, that you would be write to<gap reason="illegible"></gap>

it. The Surveyor brought it back to me the other day,<gap reason="illegible"></gap>

he interests himself in favour of Austin, by Setting forth, the hardship<lb></lb>
& inconveniencies he Labour disorder, in being kept out of his Money<lb></lb>
so long, after the Work was done, I mention this by the way, not wth.<lb></lb>
any intent to induce you to settle his Bill untill you an the wrightly<lb></lb>
satisfied, of its being a just & honest me & she work will Executed<lb></lb>
Therein of my Letter will be taken up with putting you in mind<lb></lb>
of there being two years Rent due at Michs last and that there is<lb></lb>
£190 due on accot. of the Fine wch. by your Agreemt. should have<lb></lb>
been Pd. at Michs. 1760. You will I hope remit a considerable<lb></lb>
part of both, & that in a very short time.</p>
