Since the Recet: of yor. Letter of 23d: May last to Mr Treasurr:<lb></lb>
there has been a Grand Commee of Govrs: & I am directed to acquaint you<lb></lb>
That as it has been always usual for the Tents: of this Estate to receive<lb></lb>
the Acknowledgemt: for the benefit of the Sluice, They saw no reason<lb></lb>
to depart from that Custom in the present Case And Twas Apprehended<lb></lb>
that you understood this to be their Sentiment at the time that Mrs. Collier<lb></lb>
was in Treaty for the new Lease But at the same time I would<lb></lb>
inform you, Sir, That the Govrs. having reserved to themselves the sole<lb></lb>
Power of permitting you this Benefit You are thereby rendred<lb></lb>
intirely Independent of the Tent: & may rest perfectly satisfyed that<lb></lb>
you will enjoy the Liberty without any Interruption as long as no<lb></lb>
Inconvenience accrued therefrom to the Hospital's Tenant which is<lb></lb>
not in the least apprehended from a Gentleman of Mr: Barrett's Rank<lb></lb>
