I have Acquainted out Governors with the Contents of yours<lb></lb>
of the 17th. Current concerning Dringhouses affair and have their<lb></lb>
directions to send the enclosed to Mr. Barlow and as I know not<lb></lb>
now to direct and also am desirous to be certain of its coming to his<lb></lb>
hand I beg you will be so good as to deliver it to him</p>
<p n="304">You are right at to the Hospitals claim for his not immediately<lb></lb>
material to them who has the Estate but if Mrs. Watkinson will<lb></lb>
pay the Arrear due to the Hospital and send me an Account of<lb></lb>
her Case and title the Gent. I believe would give her such<lb></lb>
assistance as is consistant with their Trust and as She is<lb></lb>
almost in the nature of a Tenant it may perhaps be in their<lb></lb>
power to do something in Support of her right if she acts justly<lb></lb>
by them in duely paying the Annuity.</p>

I have lately received advice that you have Entred upon an<lb></lb>
Estate at Dringhouses which estate together with another called<lb></lb>
Browns Moor are charged with a Clear Annuity of Twenty<lb></lb>
five pounds P Annu payable to the 4 Hospl. of Christ Bride<lb></lb>
-well Sr. Bartholomews and St. Thomas the Apostal which was<lb></lb>
Granted by one Mr. Fawcther in the reign of King James the first<lb></lb>
and has been constantly paid till about 10 Years ago<lb></lb>
from which time the Arrears are now due and that long<lb></lb>
arrear has been occasioned partly by the mis conduct<lb></lb>
of one Mr. Visey who Owned some part of the Estate and partly<lb></lb>
from other accidents which prevented its being look's after<lb></lb>
so carefully as was proper</p>
