<p n="1410">The humble Petition of the Several Persons Whose Names<lb></lb>
are hereto Subscribed <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMPS50909_occ233">Journeymen Weavers</rs>

Working with<lb></lb>
the Said County in that Branch of the Silk Manufacture<lb></lb>
and Silk mixed with other Materials Called Engine<lb></lb>
Weaving on behalf of themselves and other <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMPS50909_occ234">Journeymen</rs>

in the said Branch Working within the Jurisdiction of<lb></lb>
the Said County.</p>

That in and by an Act of Parliament made and Passed<lb></lb>
in the Thirteenth Year of the Reign of his Present Majesty Intitled<lb></lb>
An Act to impower the Magistrates therein mentioned to Settle<lb></lb>
and Regulate the Wages of Persons Employed in the Silk Manufacture<lb></lb>
within their respective Jurisdiction It is Enacted (among<lb></lb>
ther things) that the Wages and Prices for Work of the <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMPS50909_occ235">Journeymen<lb></lb>
Weavers</rs>

within the <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMPS50909_geo639">County of Middlesex</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMPS50909_geo639" type="placeName" value="County of Middlesex"></interp>
<interp inst="LMSMPS50909_geo639" type="type" value="undefined"></interp>
Shall be Settled regulate<lb></lb>
and delivered by the <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMPS50909_occ236">Justices of the Peace</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMPS50909_occ236" type="occupation" value="Justices of the Peace"></interp>
for the Said County at<lb></lb>
General Quarter Session of the Peace and the Said <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMPS50909_occ237">Justices of<lb></lb>
the Peace</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMPS50909_occ237" type="occupation" value="Justices ofthe Peace"></interp>
are thereby authorized and impowered from time to<lb></lb>
time upon application being made to them for that purpose to<lb></lb>
settle regulate order and declare the Wages and Prices of Work<lb></lb>
of the <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMPS50909_occ238">Journeymen Weavers</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMPS50909_occ238" type="occupation" value="Journeymen Weavers"></interp>
working within their Jurisdiction<lb></lb>
as aforesaid And by a certain other Act of Parliament made<lb></lb>
in the Thirty Second Year of his Present Majesty's Reign the<lb></lb>
Provisions of the Said Act and the Powers of the Magistrate<lb></lb>
extended to the Manufacture of Silk mixed or wrought up with<lb></lb>
any other Materials.</p>
<p n="1412">That Some time after the Passing of the said first mentioned<lb></lb>
Act of Parliament upon Application made at the Quarter<lb></lb>
Sessions for the said County the <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMPS50909_occ239">Justices of the Peace</rs>

did Settle<lb></lb>
and regulate the Prices and Wages of the <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMPS50909_occ240">Jourmeymen</rs>

in the<lb></lb>
said Branch Since Which time a great number of other new<lb></lb>
works having arisen in the Trade which were not included in<lb></lb>
the Book of Prices then established great Discontent has</p>
