WHEREAS it hath appeared unto us the said Justices, as well upon the Complaint<lb></lb>
of the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish<lb></lb>
as upon the Oath of the said Ann Irish<lb></lb>
that she the said Ann Irish on the Twentieth Day of <lb></lb>
January now last past, was delivered of a Female Bastard Child, at the<lb></lb>
Work house in the said parish of <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMPS50909_geo340">Saint Mary Le Bone</rs>

Bastard Child on the Body of her the said Ann Irishand Whereas<lb></lb>

duly Summoned to appear before is the said Justice to the end we may Examine<lb></lb>
into the Cause and Circumstances of the Premises and Whereas the said <rs type="persName" id="LMSMPS50909_n799-4">Robert<lb></lb>
Ansted</rs>

hath neglected to appear before us according to such Summons</p>
<p n="800"> We therefore, upon Examination of the Cause and Circumstance of the Premises, as<lb></lb>
well upon the Oath of the said Ann Irish as otherwise, do hereby<lb></lb>
adjudge him the said <rs type="persName" id="LMSMPS50909_n800-1">Robert Ansted</rs>

<interp inst="LMSMPS50909_n800-1" type="surname" value="Ansted"></interp>
<interp inst="LMSMPS50909_n800-1" type="gender" value="male"></interp>
to be the reputed Father of the<lb></lb>
said Bastard Child.</p>
<p n="801"> And thereupon we do order, as well for the better Relief of the said Parish<lb></lb>
as for the Sustentation and Relief of the said Bastard Child, that<lb></lb>
the said <rs type="persName" id="LMSMPS50909_n801-1">Robert Ansted</rs>

shall and do forthwith, upon Notice of this our Order,<lb></lb>
pay or Cause it to be paid to the said Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the,<lb></lb>
said Parish or to some or one of them, the Sum of<obscured></obscured>

for and towards the Lying-in of the said Ann Irish and the Main-<lb></lb>
tenance of the said Bastard Child, to the Time of making this our Order.</p>
<p n="802"> And we do also hereby further order, that the said <rs type="persName" id="LMSMPS50909_n802-1">Robert Ansted</rs>

<interp inst="LMSMPS50909_n802-1" type="surname" value="Ansted"></interp>

shall likewise<lb></lb>
pay, or cause to be paid, to the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said <lb></lb>
Parish for the Time being, or to some or one of them, the Sum of <lb></lb>
Two Shillings Weekly and every Week from the present Time, for and towards the<lb></lb>
Keeping, Sustentation, and Maintenance of the said Bastard Child, for and during for long<lb></lb>
Time as the said Bastard Child shall be chargeable to the said Parish</p>
<p n="803"> And we do further order, that the said Ann Irish shall also pay<lb></lb>
or cause to be paid to the said Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said <lb></lb>
Parish for the Time being, or to some or one of them, the Sum of <lb></lb>

Six Pence Weekly and every Week, so long as the said Bastard Child<lb></lb>
shall be chargeable to the said Parish in case she shall not nurse<lb></lb>
and take care of the said Child hereself.</p>
