<p n="709">in order to fill his Belly otherwise he verily believes before this time he must<lb></lb>
have starved and hath often paid 6 or seven Shillings at a time for it which<lb></lb>
his Father in Law has always given him so to do, and that when his said<lb></lb>
Master and Mistress had three apprentices which was about three years they<lb></lb>
made them all three lay together in one bed in a small Cock Loft and were never<lb></lb>
allowed to have a Chamber Pot in the Loft and were always obliged to<lb></lb>
make water out at the Window That the Petitioners said Master being a<lb></lb>
Person very much addicted to drinking he often staying out till twelve one two<lb></lb>
three & four o' Clock in the morning when the Petitioners said Mistress used<lb></lb>
always to send him and the other apprentices every night when so out<lb></lb>
(which has some times been six or seven nights together) to all the public<lb></lb>
Houses in Holborn and <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMPS50681_geo448">the Strand</rs>

and it is very seldom they can find him and when the public Houses are<lb></lb>
shut up he then goes to the Watch House where they are sure to find him<lb></lb>
and it is often Impossible to get him home and are always obliged to sit<lb></lb>
up till he does come home notwithstanding which they are often obliged to<lb></lb>
be up at four five and six o' Clock in the Morning to their writing and often<lb></lb>
have only two or three hours rest and praying to be discharged from his<lb></lb>
apprenticeship Etc which said Appeal stood duly adjourned unto this Day<lb></lb>
Now upon hearing the said Appeal in the presence and hearing of the said<lb></lb>
