ferring to the general Account it has been<lb></lb>
by many of the Justices by proportioning<lb></lb>
the Sums to the Distance of Places and Trou-<lb></lb>
ble the Apprehender might have, a much<lb></lb>
greater saving might have been made upon<lb></lb>
that Article.</p>

Constables have tryed every Effort in their<lb></lb>
Power, to defeat the said Contract; and<lb></lb>
when they found themselves unable to pre-<lb></lb>
vail upon any Magistrate in Town to sign<lb></lb>
Orders for Conveying contrary to the Orders<lb></lb>
of Sessions; the said Constables have art-<lb></lb>
fully prevailed upon a Magistrate at upwards<lb></lb>
of Ten Miles distance, to sign such Orders,<lb></lb>
to a large Amount, and upon inspecting the<lb></lb>
said Orders, it appears that the said <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMPS50463_occ22">Consta-<lb></lb>
stables</rs>

by the Justice therein mentioned, no such<lb></lb>
Pass was produced to the said Magistrate, but<lb></lb>
that the Vagabonds were conveyed, and the<lb></lb>
Passes delivered Prior to the making out such<lb></lb>
Orders, and your Committee considering<lb></lb>
the large Temptation (the least of the Or-<lb></lb>
