That Yr. Petrs life is conspired against<lb></lb>

who are admitted as Evidence against him<lb></lb>
not withstanding they themselves were guilty of<lb></lb>
the Crime</p>

sending Several Men to the French Service this<lb></lb>
considerable time past & was at last by their re-<lb></lb>
peated Solicitations persuaded to Joyn them in the Same<lb></lb>
Scheme, but Petr. Shunning their company for Some<lb></lb>
time before this unfortunate affair happen'd they<lb></lb>
apprehended that he intended to bring them to Justice<lb></lb>
whereupon they made him drunk & prevail'd on him<lb></lb>
to give them the Key of the House which was<lb></lb>
in trust with him after they Robbed the prosecutors<lb></lb>
room, they came to him when he was intoxicated<lb></lb>
with Liquor, the one delivered him a Ring the other a<lb></lb>
coat & desired him to<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
goes<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
to a certain place<lb></lb>
there to remain untill they came to him to<lb></lb>
proceed on their Jorney to France altogether</p>
<p n="4">Yr: Petr: therefore most humbly implores yr.<lb></lb>
Lordships to permit him to put off his tryal<lb></lb>
till next Session, that he may have time to find<lb></lb>
out his Wittnesses who have now absented them<lb></lb>
selves, for fear of those Villains, as there were Severals<lb></lb>
concerned in the Same practice, Yr: Ld: ships<lb></lb>
indulgence will be a means of preserving the<lb></lb>
life of an innocent Man who as in duty<lb></lb>
bound Shall ever Pray.</p>
