<p n="425">this Deponent denys that he admitted the Truth of any of the Charge<lb></lb>

his Duty as a Justice of the Peace & therefore this Depont. cannot<lb></lb>
but beleive that the Renewal of the said Complaint in January<lb></lb>
Sessions last was owing to some Personal Pigne or Resentment<lb></lb>
conceived against this Deponent by some or one of the Justices of the<lb></lb>
Peace acting in that Division where this Depont. lives And this Depont.<lb></lb>
further begs Leave to say that he was some of the first promoters &<lb></lb>
Encouragers of the Manufacturing of the BritishSail Cloth<lb></lb>

whereby many Thousands of Familys in this Nation for forty Years<lb></lb>
past have been, supported & maintained & that he has fabricated<lb></lb>
British Sail Cloth for the Government & others for these ten years<lb></lb>
past to the amount upon a Medium of very near Ten Thousand<lb></lb>
Pounds a Year third Parts whereof is paid for Labour & the<lb></lb>
Labourers paid Weekly And that as his Circumstances are too<obscured></obscured>

to press him so his July<obscured></obscured>
are good to prenit<obscured></obscured>

or mean but And he this Deponent persuades himself his Character<lb></lb>

Encouraging Vice Profaneness or Imorality for Lure or Interest or<lb></lb>

All which he humbly submits to your Lordships Wisdom & Justice.</p>
