That the petr. is a poor <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMPS50142_occ61">day labourer</rs>

and ever<lb></lb>
since July last hath been visited with great Sickness,<lb></lb>
and hath been subject to the Retornt of an Agnt and Feaborn<lb></lb>
and hath a sickly wife, and five very small children and (by reason<lb></lb>
of his Sicknes) is not able to provide for his distressed Family</p>
<p n="143">That the petr. hath as homest a Repntacon, and lived as<lb></lb>
peaceably with the Love of his Neighbours as any poor Man<lb></lb>
in the parish, and belives her hath Taken more pains and with<lb></lb>
greater Labour and hardship main<obscured></obscured>
his Family, than any other poors<lb></lb>
Man in it, as Many in the parish will testify, her having been<lb></lb>
knowne by his Neighbours to worke at hardly Labour (whereby<lb></lb>
her has (weakened his Strength) Seventeen houres in 24. for<lb></lb>
severall years past, to prserve his Family from being ever, in<lb></lb>
the least, chargable to the parish.</p>
<p n="144">That hee has made his Applicacon to the Church Wardens<lb></lb>
of the said parish for a Maintenance for himself and his<lb></lb>
very Larg Family, But notwithstanding finding no Releif<lb></lb>
from them when other Idle and Dishonest people that<lb></lb>
have their health, and but a little charg, have it Easily</p>
<p n="145">May it therefore please your Worps<lb></lb>
to take the cast of yor. very poor petr.<lb></lb>
and his distressed Family into yor. wise<lb></lb>
and Serious Consideracon and to grant<lb></lb>
such Releif as may Encourage other poore<lb></lb>
Men by hard Labour and honesty to<lb></lb>
maintaine their family's as long as they<lb></lb>
are Able Rather then by an Idle & disolute<lb></lb>
life, to become chargable to the parish<lb></lb>
and to prserve the poor petr. & his distressed<lb></lb>
Family from perishing</p>
