That upon a Former Peticon addressed unto Yor. Worships by Your<lb></lb>
Peticoner in February 1698. Settingforth his Disbursement of the Sum<lb></lb>
of above Seven Pounds more than the Monies, which he collected in the<lb></lb>

the Truth of the Same, & to make Order therein for Yor Peticoner's Relief:</p>
<p n="4">That Yor. Petr. thereupon addressed himself by Sundry Peticons unto the<lb></lb>
Said Justices duly at the Several PettySessions their since following, and<lb></lb>
proved by their Order not only his former Accompt, but also a Later one<lb></lb>
for the year 1697. Both which Accopts, together with his incident Costs<lb></lb>
& Charges in the execution of the Office of Scavenger by him in the years<lb></lb>
aforesaid, amount unto about Eighteen Pounds, or upwards; as may<lb></lb>
appear by the Books signed by the respective Burgesses,which are made<lb></lb>
to be by him produced:</p>
<p n="5">But now forasmuch as that he hath not been able to obtain<lb></lb>
from the said Justices he this to any manner of Relief for the no-<lb></lb>
imbursement of the abovesaid Sums<obscured></obscured>
ppeneded by him, not with-<lb></lb>
standing Yor Worship's abovesaid Order, & another made by You at<lb></lb>
the QuarterSessions hold on the Fourth day of January in the<lb></lb>
Ninth year of His Maties Reign; That, upon the respectives Sca-<lb></lb>
vengers paying the Rat<obscured></obscured>
Accompt's then Peticoned for by him<lb></lb>
the said Scavengers Should be allowed the said Sums, which<obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
to be deducted out of their Receipts upon on their makingup their<lb></lb>
Accompts with the Paish; and, if such Receipts should prove de-<lb></lb>
ficient<obscured></obscured>
,and Additional Rate should be made for the Scavengers<lb></lb>
Reimbursement:</p>
<p n="6">Your poor Peticoner these<obscured></obscured>
most humbly Prays<lb></lb>
Yor Worships to be pleased to take the Premisses now into<lb></lb>
serious Consideration, together with the length of Tim<obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
which he hath been out of his Mony; aswell as his loss of<lb></lb>
Time in his Calling to look aster the Recovery then of to<lb></lb>
the great Imporishment of himself & Family; & there-<lb></lb>
upon to make such final Order for his Relief; that other<lb></lb>
Persons may not tuwaster be discouraged from serving<lb></lb>
the Publick by the Example of his Sufferings for the Sample</p>
