the Cans which were purchased for the County at<lb></lb>
twice the Expence.</p>
<p n="2324">And Your said Committee further Report That<lb></lb>
being informed by Mr.. Aris that the Prisoners made a<lb></lb>
practice of putting great Quantities of Oakum down the<lb></lb>
Water Closets and that the County had lately been at much<lb></lb>
Expence in Cleansing the same, that Mr.. Gale the County<lb></lb>

had formed a plan for altering the Water<lb></lb>
Closets which would in a great degree remedy the Evil.<lb></lb>
Your Committee examined the Plan and directed Mr.. <lb></lb>
Gale to alter one of the Water Closets by way of Trial upon<lb></lb>
his undertaking not to charge the county any Expence for<lb></lb>
the same if the Alternation did not fully Answer.</p>
<p n="2325">And Your said Committee further Report that<lb></lb>
it appearing by the Governors Jurnal that on the 26th..<lb></lb>
day of July last the Meat by being over boiled was<lb></lb>
reduced in Weight to four Ounces only for each Prisoner<lb></lb>
they directed that particular care should be taken to<lb></lb>
avoid such over boiling in future so that Six Ounces<lb></lb>
of Dressed Meat at least be delivered (as nearly as may<lb></lb>
be) to each Prisoner with the Broth.</p>
<p n="2326">And Your said Committee further Report that<lb></lb>
they have directed the Water to the laid on in the Now<lb></lb>
House lately built for a residence for the Governor and<lb></lb>
that he should have liberty to use the Wash House<lb></lb>
near the Inner Gates of the Prison.</p>
<p n="2327">And Your said Committee further Report<lb></lb>
That being applied to by the Governor of the House of<lb></lb>
Correction for several necessary Articles for the use of<lb></lb>
the Prisoners they Resolved That Mr.. Aris should<lb></lb>
have liberty to provide.</p>
