<p n="2261">Whereas by virtue of an Act of Parliament made and passed<lb></lb>
in the Twelfth year of the Reign of his late Majesty King George the<lb></lb>
Second intituled "An Act for the more easy assessing collecting and<lb></lb>
"levying County Rates" the <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55610_occ956">Justices of the Peace</rs>

in that part of Great<lb></lb>
Britain called <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55610_geo1857">England</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55610_geo1857" type="placeName" value="England"></interp>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55610_geo1857" type="type" value="undefined"></interp>
within the respective limits of their Commissions<lb></lb>
at their General or Quarter Sessions or the greater part of them then<lb></lb>
and there assembled having full power and authority from time to<lb></lb>
time to make one General Rate or Assessment for such Sum or Sums<lb></lb>
of Money as the Justices in their discretion shall think sufficient to<lb></lb>
answer all and every the ends and purpose's mentioned in the said<lb></lb>
Act Now Forasmuch as it appeareth unto this Court that more<lb></lb>
than Three fourths of the Money of the last Rate made in July<lb></lb>
Session last being the last preceeding Rate hath been paid and<lb></lb>
expended to answer the ends and purposes mentioned in the said <lb></lb>
Act of Parliament and that it is necessary a considerable Sum of<lb></lb>
Money should be raised and a Rate made upon the Towns<lb></lb>
Parishes and Places in the said County for raising of Money to<lb></lb>
answer the several ends and purposes mentioned in the said Act of<lb></lb>
Parliament This Court upon consideration of the Premises is of<lb></lb>
opinion and doth accordingly order that a General Rate be made<lb></lb>
and assessed upon every Town Parish and Peace in the said County.<lb></lb>
for raising the Sum of Four Thousand Pounds which this Court<lb></lb>
doth think necessary to be raised for the purposes aforesaid This<lb></lb>
Court by virtue of the said Act of Parliament doth assess upon every<lb></lb>
Town Parish and Peace hereinafter mentioned in the respective<lb></lb>

within the Jurisdiction and Authority of the Court according to the<lb></lb>
proportions they have been actually assessed towards raising of<lb></lb>
Money for the passing and relieving of Vagrants the respective<lb></lb>
Sums following that is to say.</p>
