<p n="2070">His Majestys <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55610_occ855">Justices of the Peace</rs>

in General Session assembled, taking<lb></lb>
into their consideration the necessity of a vigorous and prompt execution of the<lb></lb>
Laws against all Disturbers of the public peace, recommend it to the <lb></lb>
Magistrates in their several Divisions to do their utmost endeavours and<lb></lb>
give their constant attention to discover and bring to justice all Persons who<lb></lb>
may be found creating or exciting Tumult and Disorder, or be Guilty of any<lb></lb>
acts tending to a Breach of the Peace, and to give all due encouragement<lb></lb>
and protection to such loyal and peaceable Subjects as may apply to them<lb></lb>
for assistance, by the appointment of special Constables and all other lawful<lb></lb>
means for the suppression of Riots, Tumults and unlawful Assemblies and<lb></lb>
that the Magistrates do hold Weekly Meetings in their respective Parishes<lb></lb>
and Neighbourhoods for the better carrying into execution the purposes <lb></lb>
aforesaid.</p>
<p n="2071">And it is further recommended that there be a General Meeting<lb></lb>
of the Magistrates of this County to be held once in every fortnight; the<lb></lb>
first Meeting to be held at the Session House on <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55610_geo1731">Clerkenwell Green</rs>

Thursday the Twenty seventh day of December Instant at Twelve o Clock at<lb></lb>
noon precisely, in order to communicate to each other any material circumstances<lb></lb>
which may have happened or come to their knowledge within their respective<lb></lb>
Districts and to consider what may be the most effectual methods from<lb></lb>
time to time to be adopted for securing peace and good Order; And that a<lb></lb>
sufficient number of Copies of these Resolutions be circulated to the Magistrates<lb></lb>
of this County and that same be inserted in the Public Papers.</p>
