<p n="1857">Whereas by virtue of an Act of Parliament made and passed in the<lb></lb>
Twelfth year of the Reign of his late Majesty King George the Second intituled<lb></lb>
"An Act for the more easy assessing collecting and levying County Rates". the<lb></lb>

in that part of Great Britain called <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55610_geo1511">England</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55610_geo1511" type="placeName" value="England"></interp>

within the<lb></lb>
respective Limits of their Commissions at their General or Quarter Sessions or the<lb></lb>
greater part of them then and there assembled having full Power and Authority<lb></lb>
from time to time to make on General Rate or Assessment for such Sum or Sums<lb></lb>
of Money as the Justices in their discretion shall think sufficient to answer all and<lb></lb>
every the ends and purposes mentioned in the said Act Now Forasmuch<lb></lb>
as it appeareth unto this Court that more than three fourths of the Money of the<lb></lb>
last Rate made in March Session last being the last proceeding Rate hath<lb></lb>
been paid and expended to answer the ends and purposes mentioned in the<lb></lb>
said Act of Parliament and that it is necessary a considerable Sum of Money<lb></lb>
should be raised and a Rate made upon the Towns Parishes and Places in the<lb></lb>
said County for raising of Money to answer the several ends and purposes<lb></lb>
mentioned in the said Act of Parliament This Court upon consideration of the<lb></lb>
Premises is of Opinion and doth accordingly Order that a General Rate be<lb></lb>
made and assessed upon every Town Parish and Place in the said County.</p>
