<p n="1744">That last Winter a Cart and Horse with the Driver passing thro' the<lb></lb>
Brook was wash'd away and the Man drowned thereby and that within<lb></lb>
these few Months past a <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55610_occ692">Servant</rs>

of Mr Mellish's also lost his Life in passing<lb></lb>
thro' such Brook; That the said Highway is a very Publick one & the<lb></lb>
direct road from that part of the <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55610_geo1468">Parish of Enfield</rs>

endangerd that pass that way.</p>
