<p n="453">Ordered by the Court at the said Sessions to be Transported beyond the<lb></lb>
Seas and which said Offenders were thereupon confined in the Gaol of<lb></lb>
Newgate under his Custody and were afterwards removed from the said<lb></lb>
Gaol and conveyed by him on board the several Vessels therein mentioned<lb></lb>
in pursuance of the said Act of Parliament and the other Account<lb></lb>
containing the Names of the Offenders who have been Convicted at the<lb></lb>
several Sessions for the said County and ordered by the Court at the<lb></lb>
said Sessions to be Transported beyond the Seas and which said Offenders<lb></lb>
were thereupon confined in the said Gaol of Newgate under his Custody and<lb></lb>
were afterwards removed from the said Gaol by an Order in Writing<lb></lb>
notified by one of His Majestys Principal Secretaries of State and conveyed<lb></lb>
by Mr Akerman to the place of Confinement mentioned in such Order and<lb></lb>
delivered by him to <rs type="persName" id="LMSMGO55610_n453-2">Duncan Cambell</rs>

the Overseer appointed by His Majesty<lb></lb>
in pursuance of the said Act of Parliament.</p>
<p n="454">Mr. Akerman claims a Fee of 14s..10d upon every<lb></lb>
Person contained in the said two Accounts together with the Charges<lb></lb>
incurred in the removal and conveyance of the said Offenders by the order<lb></lb>
of the said Justices which Fees and Expences amount together to a very<lb></lb>
considerable Sum of Money.</p>
<p n="455">By the Statute of the 28th. Geo: 3d. Sec: 3d. It is Enacted<lb></lb>
That the said Act made and passed in the 19th. Year of his present<lb></lb>
Majestys Reign and also so much of the said Act made and passed in<lb></lb>
the 24th. Year of the Reign of his present Majesty as extends to authorise<lb></lb>
the removal of Offenders to temporary places of confinement shall continue<lb></lb>
to be in force until the 1st. of June 1793 and from thence to the end<lb></lb>
of the next Session.</p>
<p n="456">Qu: 1st. Whether under the Circumstances of this Case you<lb></lb>
think Mr. Akerman is intitled to the said Fee of 14s..10d.<lb></lb>
so charged by him as abovementioned and from whom<lb></lb>
or whether you think it a Demand due from the<lb></lb>
Contractor for work and labour done, as it was always<lb></lb>
paid by him to the Keeper of <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55610_geo285">Newgate</rs>
