<p n="1903">Whereas by the Virtue of an Act of Parliament made in the twelfth year<lb></lb>
of the Reign of his late Majesty King George the Second Intitled " An Act<lb></lb>
" for the more easy assessing collecting and levying County Rates" The Justices<lb></lb>
of the Peace in that part of Great Britain called <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55609_geo1146">England</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55609_geo1146" type="placeName" value="England"></interp>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55609_geo1146" type="type" value="undefined"></interp>
within the respective<lb></lb>
Limits of their Commissions at their General or Quarter Sessions or the greater<lb></lb>
part of them then and there assembled having full power and authority<lb></lb>
from time to time to make one General Rate or Assessment for such Sum<lb></lb>
or Sums of Money as the Justices in their discretion shall think sufficient<lb></lb>
to answer all and every the Ends and purposes mentioned in the said Act<lb></lb>
Now for as much as it appeareth unto this Court that more than three<lb></lb>
fourths of the Money of the last Rate made in April Session last being the<lb></lb>
last preceeding Rate hath been paid and expended to answer the Ends and<lb></lb>
Purposes mentioned in the said Act of Parliament and that it is necessary<lb></lb>
a considerable Sum of Money should be raised and a Rate made upon the<lb></lb>
Towns Parishes and Places in the said County for raising of Money to answer<lb></lb>
the several Ends and purposes mentioned in the said Act of Parliament This<lb></lb>
Court upon Consideration of the Premises is of Opinion and Doth<lb></lb>
accordingly Order That a General Rate be made and assessed upon every</p>
