disbursed for Servants Wages and other Necessaries<lb></lb>
for ye Use of ye sd Prison whereby it appears that<lb></lb>
from the 28th Day of April 1785 to the 20th Day<lb></lb>
of April 1786 Le reced £460:15s:11d that he<lb></lb>
paid £214:5s:9d so that there is a deficiency to<lb></lb>
make up the Nett Sum of £300} £53:9s:10d<lb></lb>
£670:0s:6d</p>
<p n="1747">That the whole of these demands amount to £670:0..6<lb></lb>
and the Charges in the said severall Bills and Demands appears<lb></lb>
to year Committee to be just & true It is their<lb></lb>
Opinion that the same ought forthwith to he paid.</p>
<p n="1748">And the said Commee Further Report that it<lb></lb>
appears to them by the Examination of Mr. Harwood<lb></lb>
the Governor of the House of Correction at <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55609_geo1078">Clerkenwell</rs>

that he Keeps 11 Men Servants at the said Prison Seven of<lb></lb>
whom are employed in the Prison and the other four are<lb></lb>
Kept for the purpose of Attending the publick offices<lb></lb>
to convey Prisoners to & from the Goals That it appears<lb></lb>
to them from the Examination of Mr. Newport the Keeper<lb></lb>
of New prison at Clerkenwell that he keeps Nine Men<lb></lb>
Servants at the said prison Four of whom are employed<lb></lb>
in the prison and the other Five are Kept for the purpose<lb></lb>
of Attending the publick Offices to convey prisoners to<lb></lb>
& from the Goal. Your Committee having doubts</p>
