I beg leave to draw your attention for a few moments<lb></lb>
to the peculiar hardships in which I shall be involved if it be determined<lb></lb>
that I am to be driven from the little spot which now affords me and<lb></lb>
my family the necessaries of Lip unless some compensation is made<lb></lb>
me that may give me some support till I am able to discover another<lb></lb>
place where I may procure a subsistence. The Garden I know have<lb></lb>
cost me upwards of Thirty Pounds to manure it and employed<lb></lb>
almost all my labour for Six Months and it was more than half a Year<lb></lb>
before I could derive any thing from it to recompense my expense and<lb></lb>
industry. I am totally unable to get any other Ground near this spot,<lb></lb>
which is actually essential to the maintenance of my family, as I have<lb></lb>
Gardens to attend very near it. which however are not of themselves<lb></lb>
sufficiently profitable for our support. And even if by any lucky accident<lb></lb>
I should procure any adjacent Ground. (which I have not any prospect<lb></lb>
of at present) it would cost me as much Money to reminder it of any use to<lb></lb>
me as I have laid out on my present habitation. and require upwards<lb></lb>
of a Years time before it could reach half the perfection to which I brought<lb></lb>
that which I now occupy. In the hope Gentlemen. that you will consider<lb></lb>
the situation to which an increasing family may probably be reduced<lb></lb>
if I am actually to be forced from the comfortable little place. upon which he<lb></lb>
I now depend if not sufficient <del>an</del>
accompense is allowed me, and that you<lb></lb>
will have the goodness to compassionate the situation of Gentlemen.</p>
