<p n="2414">Gentlemen;</p>
<p n="2415">I most humbly beg leave to offer myself a Candidate for<lb></lb>
the Office of Collector of your Tolls at <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55607_geo2002">St. James Hay markett</rs>

room of Mr. Stocken deceased.</p>
<p n="2416">I have had the Honour to be <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55607_occ999">in the Commission of the peace</rs>

for this County above Twelve Years, & I flatter myself discharged the<lb></lb>
Duties of that situation with Credit and Reputation.</p>
<p n="2417">Having within these few Years had great Losses to the<lb></lb>
Amount of Six Thousand Pounds & upwards, am much reduced,<lb></lb>
& have a <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55607_occ1000">wife</rs>

& Seven Children to provide for, & at present out of<lb></lb>
all Employ.</p>
<p n="2418">Should I meet with your approbation, & be so fortunate<lb></lb>
as to be the Object of your choice, I shall best Justify my Gratitude for<lb></lb>
the same, by a diligent attention to the Duty of the Office;</p>
