in their General Session of the Peace held for the said County in<lb></lb>
the Month of February 1782 assembled</p>
<p n="1958">The Report of the Committee appointed <obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
Consider how the Number of the Justices who<lb></lb>
may receive Wages for attending the Sessions of<lb></lb>
the Peace for this County came to be limitted to<lb></lb>
Twenty four whether any and what addition<lb></lb>
ought to be demanded and to whom an<lb></lb>
application for such addition ought to be made</p>
<p n="1959">The said Committee Report</p>
<p n="1960">That having taken into Consideration the order of<lb></lb>
Reference to this Committee Vizt. To consider how the number of Justices<lb></lb>
"who may receive Wages for attending the Sessions of the Peace of this County<lb></lb>
"came to be limitted to Twenty four and whether any and what Addition<lb></lb>
"ought to be demanded and to whom an Application for such addition<lb></lb>
"ought to be made" and having read an Act of Parliament of the Twelfth<lb></lb>
of Richard the 2d. by which it appears that the Justices of Peace shall<lb></lb>
take for their Wages Four shillings a day for the time of their Session and<lb></lb>
their Clerk Two Shillings of the Frances and Amerciaments rising and<lb></lb>
coming of the same Sessions by the Hands of the Sheriffs and that<lb></lb>
Lords of Frachises should be contributary to the said Wages after their<lb></lb>
part of the said Fines and Amerciaments aforesaid" and it appearing<lb></lb>
that the Fines and Amerciaments set and imposed each Session of the<lb></lb>
Peace for this County do not annually upon an Average amount to ma<obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
Four Pounds that the allowance to Twenty four Justices is paid to the<lb></lb>
House Keeper by the Sheriff of this County who thereto provides a<lb></lb>
Dinner each Day of the Session for as many Justices as attend as<lb></lb>
also for the <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55607_occ831">Clerk of the Peace</rs>
