<p n="825">The Case</p>
<p n="826">The nusance Complained of is as follows the Offender has long follow<obscured></obscured>

in and about Hockley Hole the Business of <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55607_geo820">a Horse</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55607_geo820" type="placeName" value="a Horse"></interp>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55607_geo820" type="type" value="undefined"></interp>
<rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55607_occ338">Butcher</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55607_occ338" type="occupation" value="Butcher"></interp>
and have<lb></lb>
been a common receiver of Stolen Horses which being bough by him<lb></lb>
at the price of a few Shillings have whether Sound or diseased been<lb></lb>
immediately knocked on the head after which the process has been to<lb></lb>
feed Hogs with the Blood ad Entrails and to boil the flesh for Dogs made<lb></lb>
the Stench arising from this business has been intolerable to such a <obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
that Journeymen Manufacturers within reach of it have threatned <obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
have their Masters declaring it was impossible to stand it prosecution<lb></lb>
have hitherto been inefectual to restrain this horrible Nusance for<lb></lb>
as fast as the Offender has been driven from one place he has be taken<lb></lb>
himself to another The last he was settled in was <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55607_geo821">Saffron Hill</rs>

a very<lb></lb>
populous Neighbourhood where during the Dog Days the number of Ho<obscured></obscured>

Slaughtered in this manner was not to be counted and the fear of a<lb></lb>
contagion drove the Inhabitants to the necessity of this prosecution <obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
which the Offender eluded as long as he was able A Stop it is true is<lb></lb>
thereby put to this Evil but should the Offender be suffered to regain <obscured></obscured>
