<p n="750">As to the 2d. Objection - It is very well known that both Butchers<lb></lb>
and Barbers Shops are open till twelve o' Clock a Saturday Night,<lb></lb>
and tho it is often Said poor persons do not receive their Mony their<lb></lb>
daily or Weekly Pay till late on Saturday Night, yet if that be<lb></lb>
inquired into, it will most probably be found very few if any of these<lb></lb>
Persons but are paid by or before eleven a Clock in the Evening, So<lb></lb>
that there is time enough to buy what they want that Night and as<lb></lb>
either Markets or Butchers Shops are So many & So differently<lb></lb>
dispersed, it will be difficult for them to go home without passing by<lb></lb>

under the head of Necessity and Charity for which the Act of<lb></lb>
Parliament has made a Provision and would have their proper<lb></lb>

<p n="751">As to the 3d. Objection which consists of two parts. First That<lb></lb>
it is too Strictly carried into Execution as to Persons your<lb></lb>

nothing in this Act contained Shall extend to the prohibiting of<lb></lb>

<p n="752">As to the 2d. Part of the Objection that this Offence is too Strictly<lb></lb>
Carried into Execution as to time, Persons having been punished for<lb></lb>
what was done before Nine a Clock Sunday Morning, your<lb></lb>
Committee on perusing the Act of the 29.Car.2d. find the Penalty<lb></lb>
