Whereas by virtue of an Act of Parliament made in the<lb></lb>
twelfth year of the Reign of his present Majesty King George<lb></lb>
the Second Intituled an Act for the more easy Assessing Collecting<lb></lb>
and levying of County Rates the <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55602_occ796">Justices of the peace</rs>

in that<lb></lb>
part of Great Britain called <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55602_geo1161">England</rs>

within the respective<lb></lb>
Limits of their Comissions at their General or Quarter Sessions<lb></lb>
or the greater part of them then and there assembled have full<lb></lb>
power and Authority from time to time to make one General<lb></lb>
Rate or Assessment for such Sum or Sums of Money as the sd<lb></lb>
Justices in their Discretions should think Sufficient to answer<lb></lb>
all and every the Ends and Purposes mentioned in the said Act,<lb></lb>
Now forasmuch as it appeareth unto this Court that three fourths<lb></lb>
of the Money of the last Rate made in May Sessions 1745<lb></lb>
being the last preceding Rate hath been paid & expended to<lb></lb>
answer the Ends & purposes mentioned in the said Act of<lb></lb>
Parliament, And that it is necessary it is necessary that a Considerable Sum</p>
