"Committee resolved to be (in their opinion) the principal<lb></lb>
"cause of the late most remarkable increase of Street Robbers<lb></lb>
"and other Felons and Malefactors in the Night time,<lb></lb>
And the Committee being of opinion that the well<lb></lb>
lighting the Streets would be a very effectual means of<lb></lb>
preventing Street robberys, and haveing taken the<lb></lb>
Statute made for that purpose into their consideracon, and<lb></lb>
likewise observeing that the late increase of Street<lb></lb>
robberys began in point of time Some time before<lb></lb>
Michmas last they are therefore of opinion that the Said<lb></lb>
Act might be more usefull in this respect if the<lb></lb>
Inhabitants therein menconed were required to light<lb></lb>
their houses or doors earlyer and later in the year and<lb></lb>
