<p n="867">That your Petitioner is <rs type="occupation" id="LMSLPS15092_occ289">Apothecary</rs>
<interp inst="LMSLPS15092_occ289" type="occupation" value="Apothecary"></interp>
to a certain Charitable Institution called<lb></lb>
or known by the name of The General Dispensary for the Relief of the Poor<lb></lb>
under the Management of several Persons who by Voluntary Subscriptions have<lb></lb>
supported the said Charitable Institution from the Year 1770 to this time whereby<lb></lb>
many then sands of poor persons have been Relieved with Physical advice<lb></lb>
and Medicines in the several Disorders with which they were afflicted</p>
<p n="868">That Your Petitioner as such Apothecary resides in part of a certain<lb></lb>
Building lately erected by Public Voluntary Subscriptions in the Stead of<lb></lb>
an Antient Building therefore made Use of for the London Lying In Hospital<lb></lb>
and which present Building is now made use of by the Subscribers to the said<lb></lb>
Charitable Institution for the Purpose only of carrying their benevolent<lb></lb>
Intentions for the Relief of the poor into Execution.</p>
<p n="869">That by a certain Rate or Assessment made on or about the third day<lb></lb>
of April 1781 for the Relief of the poor of the said Parish of Saint Botolph<lb></lb>
without <rs type="placeName" id="LMSLPS15092_geo874">Aldersgate</rs>

Your Petitioner hath been charged in the Sum of Three<lb></lb>
Pounds towards the Relief of the poor of the said Parish for or in Respect of<lb></lb>
the said Building.</p>
<p n="870">That Your Petitioner Apprehends that as he is only Apothecary to the<lb></lb>
said Charitable Institution he ought to be Charged in any Sum of<lb></lb>
Money Whatsoever for or in Respect of the said Building towards the Relief</p>
