for himself says that he is one of the Receivers at the Excise<lb></lb>
Office, that on Friday the 20th of December last he left his<lb></lb>
Office about 3 oClock and left in his Desk locked up Gold<lb></lb>
Silver & Halfpence to the amount of £28. 12 0. that when<lb></lb>
he returned the next day he found that his Dash had been<lb></lb>
broke open & the said Money taken away. Says that the<lb></lb>
greatest part of said Money was in Gold and amongst<lb></lb>
the said Girl were several new half Guineas. Says that<lb></lb>
a person now present who calls himself <rs type="persName" id="LMSLPS15088_n20-3">William Lacey</rs>

of the wanted any half Guineas, that the said Lacey after<lb></lb>

left 8 new half Guineas with this<lb></lb>
Informant which he restored to him the next day. Says that<lb></lb>
at that time he told him that something had been done which<lb></lb>
would make great Noise & that an Advertisement would be</p>
